EA will not longer have paper manuals packaged along with their games. Now relevant manuals will be available in-game or on this website. Ubisoft has already done the same thing. Paper is expensive and most people are damn near illiterate anyways, so this makes sense.

Oh yeah, blah blah blah nature global warming sustainability green green blah green blah blah green bleen grah bleen grah.

Speaking of green blah bleen grah, yes, this is entirely about money.

NPD has released a list of the games to generate the largest amount of revenue in their entire history of record keeping. I assume this does not adjust for inflation or subscription costs (the Sims, Myst, World of Warcraft?), but the recent history of packaging expensive peripheral devices really shows its mark.

The list (note that only the first five were given with monetary amounts):

1. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock-$830.9 million
2. Call of Duty: Black Ops-$787.4 million
3. Wii Fit-$736.6 million
4. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2-$713.6 million
5. Rock Band- $670.7 million
6. Wii Play
7. Guitar Hero World Tour
8. Wii Fit Plus
9. Mario Kart Wii
10. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Call of Duty may be one of the world's largest and most lucrative economies. Same with guitars.

David Carey, VP of technical intelligence for UBM TechInsights said to EuroGamer that the cost for materials alone for Nintendo to make the 3DS is only one hundred and one dollars. This does not include labor, research and development, marketing or other costs. The 3DS will cost $250 for the American consumer, and something similar everywhere else.

Yeah, sounds about right.

The hack'n'slash RPG Hunted: The Demon's Forge is currently in development at InXile Entertainment and is slated for a release on June 01, 2011. The latest trailer for the game shows off more combat and characters, as well as some co-op action:

THQ and Relic revealed the launch date for their action game Warhammer 40k: Space Marine.

According to a press release from THQ, "Space Marine puts players into the role of one of humanity's elite soldiers, as they battle to protect an Imperial Forge World from a millions-strong Ork invasion. But this isn't all that faces Captain Titus of the Ultramarines. When Titus makes planet-fall, he soon realizes that the forces of Chaos are lurking in the shadows pulling the strings for their own nefarious purposes."

Also, "the addition of Chaos forces adds more variety to the Space Marine single-player campaign by complementing the animalistic and horde-like Orks with a much more powerful and strategic enemy. While Titus can dispatch dozens of Orks alone, the Chaos Space Marines are more than capable of going toe-to-toe with him, especially with the support of Renegade Militia, Tainted Psykers and Bloodletter Daemons, among other units."

After teasing us for quite a while, NVIDIA finally uncovers their new GPU - the GeForce GTX 590. Check it out:

Altogether now:

Ffff...**k!

Seriously, the shooter has been delayed again. Only for one month this time, but even so, after all the confirmations, trailers and screens and reassuring gamers that it will actually arrive in May, they could've stuck with the release date this time.

Still, here's the word from Gearbox (the development studio behind the game):

"at first i was like ''fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck youuuuuuuuu!!!! GODDAMNIT FUCK SHIT BITCH FUCK!! CUNT!!... - Shpongle"23

Capcom launched an official web site for Resident Evil Revival Selection (it's in Japanese), which confirms yesterday's story about the HD versions of the company's successful games Resident Evil 4 and Resident Code Veronica Directors Cut (PS2). Both titles will be available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

A few images were released and posted on the site, showing the remastered Resident Evil 4 in 720p alongside, as compared to the original game.

Well, this is certainly good news for Resident Evil fans, but what would please them even more, I'll bet, is the announcement of a Resident Evil 6.

"I always wanted to increase the brightness on Resident evil 4, I just didn't know how, Thank you... - jimmy"3

According to a marketing survey (thanks, Kotaku) straight from an anonymous source, the upcoming racer Forza Motorsport 4 is going to feature 500 vehicles from 80 manufacturers. Also, "by using Kinect for Xbox 360, racing fans can now use head tracking to peer into a corner or their voice to control the game menus and interface. For more casual players you can enjoy sitting or standing controller free and racing alongside your friends, simply by holding your hands at 10 and 2." Yep, Kinect support is in, clearly.

It's also been noted that the racing game will feature "graphic fidelity 10 times better than the previous version, including new lighting and shading models." What's more the new career mode offers "an automotive world tour" and a greater number of different challenges and events for players to take part in.

Virtual showroom, where players can discover a lot of details about the vehicles they're going to drive, may feature narration from Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson.

Sweet. If true...
