NOTE: As their name suggests hints are not exactly After Burner Climax cheats, and are usually just simple (but very useful) tips on how you can unlock secret level, features, find hidden areas and such. Hopefully these will make playing After Burner Climax even more entertaining.

Access secret stages Golden Valley and Clouds of Twilight
To access the secret stages Golden Valley and Clouds of Twilight in either Score Attack or Arcade mode, you must finish stage 5 (Coastal Industrial Zone) or stage 9A/9B (Iceberg Base/Sea of Clouds) with at least 4 stars. You will then play the secret stage in place of the stage normally encountered (Great River Valley or Sea of Twilight). To earn a star, complete a stage with at least 50% shot down. You will lose one star if you are shot down, and you will lose all stars if you lose all lives and continue the game. You can have a maximum of 5 stars.

Clouds of Twilight: Finish stage 9A or 9B with at least 4 stars
Golden Valley: Finish stage 5 with at least 4 stars

Achievements
50 Combo (20): Got a combo of 50 in Arcade mode.
Across enemy lines (10): Cleared Stage 10 in Arcade mode.
All Clear! (5): Cleared Arcade mode with ending A.
Climax Mode (15): Activated Climax Mode in Arcade mode.
Emergency Order (20): Cleared an Emergency Order in Arcade mode.
Rank In (15): Uploaded a Score Attack score to rankings.
ROLL (15): Performed a roll in Arcade mode.
Stealth bomber (10): Cleared Stage 5 in Arcade mode.
Strike Eagle (20): Cleared Arcade mode with the F-15E.
Super Hornet (20): Cleared Arcade mode with the F/A-18E.
Super Tomcat (20): Cleared Arcade mode with the F-14D.
Triple A (30): Got a AAA ranking in Arcade mode (for Shot Down, Combo, or Play Time).

Armor: 1%: Get a down rate of over 70% a total of 20 times.
Armor: Half Damage: Get a down rate of over 70% a total of 10 times.
Armor: No Damage: Get a down rate of over 70% a total of 50 times.
Auto-Missiles: On: Reach ending A.
Climax Gauge Recovery: Fast: Activate "Climax Mode" a total of 50 times.

Combo Window: Free: Get a combo totalling 3,000.

Classic "SEGA" voice clip from Sonic the Hedgehog
While the game is loading and displaying its initial splash screens, hold down the B button. When the Sega logo appears, you will hear the original "SEGA" voice clip that is played at the beginning of the original Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis/Megadrive.
