Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura Cheats

Some of the locations I didn't discover yet, so it is up to you. Since this game covers huge playing area, and the maximum level is 50 (after 50, you don't receive any more points), I highly suggest to build WP up to fifteen and learn teletransportation spell to save more time, or you prefer to walk. Use Harm Spell
I also found that harm is a beautiful spell at higher levels - you can just keep ripping on the enemy with it, and after 3 or 4 hits, even some tough opponents crumble (all for only 20 mana....) Combined with a high dex, you can barrage opponents and quickly turn the tide of any fight.

Learn How to Pick Locks
I found a way to never worry about money again. Learn how to pick locks. You can go to lots of different shops (Shrouded hills for example) pick the locks (a set of lockpicks/auto skeleton key make a big difference) to their back rooms and then the one on the chest/barrel/crate. All of the items they have for sale are inside those chests. Find the stuff that sells for a big price and sell their own stuff back to them until they're broke. They get a new supply of money every day. Save the game next to the door before you pick it in case the lock jams or they get pissed and attack. This trick won't work in all shops but it works in enough of them.

Collect the Money
In the city of Tarant go to the prostitute brothel and finish the first job. then ask for another job..when you do, she will give you the job of collecting late payments from the hotel door man. after 5 days of waiting for his salary collect the money as much as you want...you can keep collecting the money unless you go to the back to the brothel and give them 400 gold.

Cheat/bug
If you walk north from Ashbury, following the eastern coast as far as you can in the world map (do not go in to the Vendigroth wastes) and then switch over to location map (same kind of map as you have in cities, encounters etc) you should be able to walk pass the grey mountains if you follow the river between the mountains and the desert, and reach the places beyond. (worked for me as i accidently teleported my self to the Ruby Glade, and then followed the river south).

Ruins of Zabo
Within the Ruins of Zabo the last room after the level 40 creatures, the one with only the torch, destroy the torch. It will teleport you to some new place.

Increase Magic
An easy way to build up your characters magic attitude is to buy a Dark Helmet from one of the gypsy women. The helmet has the abbility to give you plus 20 magic apptitude and minus 20 allignment. Equipt the helmet and then unequipt it. Keep doing this over and over. When you look at your character sheet you will see that your magic apptitude is maxed out, but you are also pure evil on you alignment. Its a small price to pay to be a master mage at level 5.

Make Money Easily
The easiest way to make money is to find one of the 3 gypsy merchants.One is in Shrouded Hills, one in Tarant, and one in Ashbury. Look at their merchandise. Then exit the buy/sell screen. Scroll the screen down till the gypsy and yourself is off the screen, and advance time to morning. Each time you do this the gypsy gains an additional 2000-3000 gold in her pouch. Do this multiple times for more gold. To see how much she has use your pick pocket skill and look at her gold. When she has enough for you, kill her and loot her corpse. It is quite easy to get 3 million gold this way.

Make Money
When you get to Tarant, talk to Madam Lil. Get the necklace from the Mooreland residence. The next quest is to get money from Roland. Go talk to him, advance time by 5 days and then ask him for the money, he pays, keep asking him. DO NOT FINISH THE QUEST OR YOU CAN'T GET ANYMORE MONEY FROM HIM.

Make Money
Pick the pocket of Risteze in Shrouded Hills and steal his key, look in the chest at the end of his bed and take the money (ignore the junk). Then, leave his shop, advance by one day, and go back in and take the money from the chest again. Repeat.

Gaining a few More Friends
This may only work on the demo. If you feel like gaining a few more friends for your trip, just kill a NPC. I recommend Jongle Dune, as he is no use at all. Then cast Create Undead on the body. When he revives, go to the world map and travel away then back to the town. The create undead spell will be canceled, but you still have Jongle on you team. You can use him as a normal character, equiping him with whatever you want. I like to do this to the Ogres at the bridge, as they are strong and make my character look cool.
