Hate Manchester United?
As in CM 99/00 add yourself as the Man Utd manager and release all there players on free transfers and immediately resign. The club has to pay that much in compensation that it will have insufficient funds to replace the players and should get relegated that season.

Get the in game editor from gamecopyworld and do what you like, put all your players stats to the max, have a 150000 seater stadium, have £2billion transfer fund, give Man Utd gates of only 4000 etc. The editor will let you do as little or as much cheating as you want.

Players for Free
To get players for free. First you must find a player who is interseted in joining your club. Then offer enough money for the player , so the transfer will be accepted. Then when it asks you to offer contract , there should be a menu where it says set role. Click on the players name on the top of the screen. Go to action and press withdraw bid. Then go to action again and click on approach to buy. Offer the club £0. Then confirm and this should take you back to the players stats. Press back and it should take you to the set role option again. Set his role and offer him a contract. As long as the player accepts the contract he will sign to your squad and it wont cost a bean!
