You can unlock secret dungeons after you complete the main story:
Girls Only Dungeon: Located behind the shrine near Himiko
Mugen Chasm: Located in the spot where Shizune ran to
No Item Dungeon: Located in Surei Town. Need Gankatsu tailsman
Unlockable Characters
To unlock the characters, you need to have beaten the main story:
Gen-An: Complete the main story
Himiko: Talk to her in Kamairi Village
Hinagiku: Talk to her in Mugen City
Ichika: Unlock the No Item dungeon then talk to her in Surei Town
Suzuri: Talk to her in Kamairi Village
