Main Cheat Codes
NOTE: These are the main Medieval: Total War cheats that are usually applied by pressing down the right key combination. Please find the instructions on how to use these cheats below.
Enter the cheats in strategic mode (on the map) and be sure to put dots in the front and at the end of a code:
.mefoundsomeau. - All your provinces get a plentiful supply of gold
.mefoundsomeag. - All your provinces get a plentiful supply of silver
.mefoundsomecu. - All your provinces get a plentiful supply of copper
.viagra. - All your provinces get a plentiful supply of iron
.matteosartori. - Show the whole map
.deadringer. - 1,000,000 Florins
.worksundays. - All construction orders are finished in 1 turn
.badgerbunny. - All units and buildings become available to construct
.conan. - Play as the rebel parties (non-reversable!)
Command-Line cheats
Use the following command line to start the game

and the following keys will be available while playing:
a - Autorun
g - Godmode: see all regions and units
i - Artificial intelligence
h - Artificial intelligence
s - Scenic tour
[F5] - Scenic tour
[Ctrl]+[I] - Panels
[Ctrl]+[#] - Change faction (# is a number 0-9)
More Cheat Codes
This is another way of cheating to have a good start but
be sure to make backup of the files you're going to edit before
proceeding. Edit the text in STARTPOS file (which is in CAMPMAP
file). Go to LATE.TXT ( which i then modified EARLY.TXT with
the info i found in LATE.TXT), scroll down to the faction
you want to play and change or add buildings and units...

This gives you alot of good buildings at the start: max armor, max weapon upgrade, most of the units available... Also, if you add a number after the birth date of a strategic unit (see below) it gets a valor/honor bonus (1=1, 2=2, 3=2, 4=3, 8=4 from what i've figured out so far), although I haven't tried altering Units honor bonus... I'm sure it might work if you add a number after the Number of troops in the unit.

So, my emissaries started with 2 honor, spies with 3 stars, assasins with 2 3 and 4 stars and Inquisitors with 3 and 4 stars. Lets just say it makes the game very, very easy, but funny can spend my time making good units and going right after world domination right away without having to spend 100 years building up getting beat up building up again and maybe surviving.
