Mad Eddy's and the Beta Shop
Go to town. Press and hold, all at the same time: F12, R, N, and Q. hit 'Cancel' to go back to your house. When you go back to town, there should be two new shops: Mad Eddy's and the Beta Shop. Mad Eddy gives you free money, and lets you buy very rare items, among other things. The Beta Shop lets you select the ending, among other things.

Select any Location
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "pm2.cnf" file in the game directory. Add the line "MOPI=1". Press [F10] at the icon during game play to select any city.

Find Secret Item
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "pm2.cnf" file in the game directory. Add the line "NOPI=1". Highlight the "Go To Market" icon and press [F10] during game play.
