NOTE: As their name suggests hints are not exactly Kingdom Hearts 2 cheats, and are usually just simple (but very useful) tips on how you can unlock secret level, features, find hidden areas and such. Hopefully these will make playing Kingdom Hearts 2 even more entertaining.
Where to get Summons
Chicken Little - In the 100 Acre Wood, after the world's second cutscene.
Genie Defeat - Volcano Lord and Blizzard Lord.
Peter Pan - In the ship grevayard in the second visit to Port Royal.
Stitch - In the hallway to the computer room in Hollow Bastion, after you get Master Form.
Glitch: Drive Extension
Early on in Kingdom Hearts 2, Sora receives new clothing, replacing his rather silly looking attire from the original game. At the same time, he earns the ability to use "Drives" which, among many other things, further alter his appearance while activated. Interestingly enough, there is a simply way to "extend" the length of a Drive's visual transformation, so as to reflect in cut-scenes as well: During any of the game's numerous "objective" based fights, simply complete the event with a Drive activated and Sora will retain his modified appearance for the story event that follows.
Glitch: Instant Max Drive
If you want you drive bar maxed, all you have to do, is, Go to the Underworld tournament. Talk to Panic, after talking to him, A screen of all Tournaments pop up. Go to the fourth one, in which you fight Hades at the end of Ten battles. Once you enter the first battle, Your Drive Bar will be completely filled. Pause, and select quit. When you leave, your bar is still full. This will help you level up forms and summons quicker.
Secret Endings
Just like Kingdom Hearts I and Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts II has a special secret movie that can be viewed at the end of the game, after the credits roll.
In "Beginner" mode, you can't unlock it at all.
In "Standard" mode, you must fully compelte all the worlds and Jiminy's Journal to unlock it.
In "Proud" mode, you need only fully complete all worlds.

Drive Gauge Filler
For Forms you get later, there is a quicker way to refill up the Drive Gauge. First, once the Drive Gauge fills up, do a Drive as usual. Before the Drive Gauge goes to empty, use a save point to exit out to the WorldMap. Come back and your Drive Gauge should be back to Max.
For a second way, it is with Olympus Coliseum later on. Enter and Exit out one of the Tournaments, your Drive Gauge will also be Max, regardless what you had.
That means if you have an empty Drive Gauge, you can fill it up to Max with the second way. Remember, later on, Summonings also require Drive Gauge and that means this is pretty handy.
Easy Coliseum Points
After you get the Ukelele Charm near the Computer Room in Hollow Bastion, go to any Underworld Coliseum Match and Summon Stitch. The second you do, wait for Ohana to appear in the Limit space. Use it, and use the square button command four times. Then, while there is still time, use the TRIANGLE command. After it's over, you will have time to use it again. When you are done, you will see you have a lot of points, but no monster is dead.
You might think it's useless, but if you want to see the Secret Ending in Normal Mode, then you'll almost need this trick for some of the matches to complete the insane amount of points you need to complete the Olympus Coliseum part of Jiminy's Journal.
Master Form Fast Mastery (Fastery)
Easily level up Master Form by going to the corridors outside Ansem's Lab. Leave Ansem's Lab and go to the first main room. Three Crimson Jazz enemies should appear. Change to the Master Form, beat the enemies, and collect the orbs they drop and keep moving to the other enemies. It's possible to kill them all within the same change. When you Drive Gauge depletes, go to Olympus for a recharge. You can find seven Crimson Jazz enemies for a total of 70 to 80 XP each time.
Hades' Paradox Cup
Max out the level of your summoning and all your drives (including the Final Form).
Luck Has Nothing To Do With The Crap For Synthesis
Synthesis materials a must if you want the Ultima Weapon or any of several extremely useful items. If you are having a hard time collecting enough materials for synthesis, try to put both Donald and Goofy into your party, then equip Sora, Donald, and Goofy with the "Lucky Lucky" ability (5 AP to equip, Sora won't acquire it until lvl.99 if you chose the staff with Roxas after meeting Namine).
Equip them with the weapons that have the "Lucky Lucky" ability: Sora- Sweet Memories keyblade (100-Acre Wood), Donald - Meteor Staff, Goofy - Genji Shield (Olympus Colussium). Finally, equip one of the three with the Lucky Ring accessory for a total of 7 Lucky-Luckys. Enemies should drop items at a far greater rate, sometimes even two items at once.
Easy Way To Level
Here's an easy way to level-up. When you return to Abrabah for the second time, complete the ruins stage. Afterwards, you can return to the ruins area and fight an unlimited number of enemies there as many times as you desire. If you enter the ruined tower and access the minigame within (by pressing the switch at the back of the chamber), you can fight and kill most of the enemies with one hit. Rapid Thrusters will give you 47 experience points, Hook Bats will give you 117 experience points, Fortune Tellers will give you 350 experience points, and Crimson Jazz will give you 585 experience points. One run through the minigame (2-3 minutes spent) can net you as much as 5,000 experience points. You can repeat the process until you reach the desired level.
Land of Dragons Experience
To score some easy experience points, head to the Land of the Dragons. Go to the summit of the mountain and destroy all of the fireworks and carts - you will get 100 or so experience points each time. You can keep leaving and coming back to do this over and over again.
Thruster Experience
This technique works if you have the Gullwings' Keyblade. Head to the top of Pride Rock, where you can fight Thruster enemies. Have the Gullwings' Keyblade and any other experience boosting items equipped, turning off and/or removing any items or abilities that will automatically heal you.
Allow the Thrusters to attack you until you start flashing, indicating your health is low. At that point, start attacking. While these foes will normally give you about 50 experience points per kill, when you're critical, they'll give 170 experience points per kill.
Leveling in the Castle That Never Was
Here's an easy way to level-up. Head to the Castle That Never Was, and start from the Hall of Empty Melodies. Climb your way up to the Altar of Naught. Fighting the enemies in between these two locales is a great and easy way to level up. You can easily gain ten levels in a half an hour.
Leveling Up for Sephiroth
Required: Experience Boost ability and the Gullwing Keyblade. Go to the Castle That Never Was and let the Nobodies beat you up until you have critical HP (turn off Donald and Goofy's auto-ablilities so they don't heal you). You will now get 3 times as much EXP! If you beat a Sorcerer, for instance, you'll get 3000 EXP.
Mistake in Jiminy's Journal
Go to the general part of Jiminy's Journal. From there go to the "Nobodies" section in the journal and go to the very bottom. There will be an entry there that says "Twilight Thorn" which is the big white boss that Roxas had to defeat.
The error is that Jiminy was not with Roxas when he fought Twilight Thorn. In fact, Jiminy was never with Roxas at all, he first appears when Sora, Donald and Goofy awaken from the pods in the Mansion in Twilight Town.
