NOTE: As their name suggests hints are not exactly LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy cheats, and are usually just simple (but very useful) tips on how you can unlock secret level, features, find hidden areas and such. Hopefully these will make playing LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy even more entertaining.
Infinite Studs
When in a double score area with another human player, kill them and collect their studs. Repeat this to gain the desired amount of studs. The amount lost will remain the same, while the amount gained after picking your partners up will be doubled.
Gold Brick bonuses
Collect the indicated number of Gold Bricks after completing all chapters of the listed episode to unlock the corresponding bonus:
Episode 4 Character Bonus: 8 Gold Bricks
Episode 4 Minikit Bonus: 8 Gold Bricks
Episode 4 Super Story: 8 Gold Bricks
Episode 5 Character Bonus: 16 Gold Bricks
Episode 5 Minikit Bonus: 16 Gold Bricks
Episode 5 Super Story: 16 Gold Bricks
Episode 6 Character Bonus: 32 Gold Bricks

Characters from the original Lego Star Wars
Have a saved game file (any or all characters unlocked) from the original Lego Star Wars on your hard drive. Load the game, go to the shop, and buy the "Use Old Save" in the Extras section for 250,000 studs. Then, pause game play, go to the "Extras" menu and turn on "Use Old Save". Then, replay any level in Free Play mode. All the characters from Lego Star Wars (and the unlocked ones from Lego Star Wars 2) will be available. and you can use them to play in Free Play mode. This very helpful in order to collect all the Lego canisters.
