| For those of us who actually are there as press and especially those of us who do interviews, this was a decidedly better year. It felt more laid-back and easygoing. The more condensed nature meant we weren't running all the way across the convention center to get to each appointment, and the greatly diminished 'noise factor' made recording the game developers talking about their games so much easier and cleaner. Absolutely hated the 'dueling speakers' big show floor situations. And those who'd be there for the 'booth babes' ... Don't think those kinds of attendees should be needed, anyway. I think being able to talk with the actual guys who worked on the games is more interesting. One has to wonder, though, which one would be easier to talk to for the average gamer? As for the brick... not sure if it's a WoW item, but it seemed like a reference to the saying 'hit me like a brick' to me... EDIT: Also: Woot! Apogee's back! |
