I think you guys also forget that the publisher many times takes the major risk in any title that is put out by providing seed money to the developers. Kind of like a book publisher gives an writer a signing bonus. If the title bombs they stand to lose money too.

So as much as we all might hate companies like Activision, Ubisoft and EA we still have to put up with them to an extent if we want to play decent games.
