Enough with the testosterone filled super-heroes! I say, give us hot chicks with lovely long legs and big boobies, wearing nothing but smooth, tight leather! That's all we want! Sexy babes that can kick villain ass with impressive martial arts skills. Phew, I feel a lot better now that I got that off my hairless chest.

EA's booth will be swarming with a whole bunch of console and PC titles. The gaming giant opted, however, to make a few announcements early on. Today Microsoft and Electronic Arts, two of the biggest publishers and game makers in the biz, announced an agreement to allow Xbox owners to enjoy numerous EA franchises via Xbox LIVE. These include the following: NCAA Football 2005, Madden NFL 2005, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 2005, NASCAR 2005: Chase For The Cup, NBA LIVE 2005, NHL 2005, NCAA March Madness 2005, GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, Need for Speed Underground 2, Battlefield: Modern Combat, Burnout 3 and TimeSplitters Future Perfect. Hey, milk all those puppies away! (They milk puppies?! Those sick fucks! - Ed) What do we care, right?

Considering the odds, I'd say both companies are about to generate more income than ... something generating a lot of income (hey, I'm just not creative enough). Lately, games that support Xbox LIVE are catching on fast and now it looks as though EA is hopping on the bandwagon once more.

Like I've said at the beginning EA treated us to a pre-show demonstration of their upcoming action/adventure, entitled Catwoman. As you probably already guessed, Catwoman is based on the Warner Bros. Pictures feature film of the same name. But here comes the cool part. The game allows you to control Halle Barry as Catwoman, relying on the character's special cat-like abilities and senses. Me, I would just like to claw my way up her belly, but that's a whole different matter I guess.

Although most games nowadays tend to expand the movie franchise by elaborating on its story, this game will follow the film plot to the tea. In other words, players will be immersed in a tale about a certain female character Patience Phillips, a shy and sensitive lass, who has a miraculous gift to use the speed, reflexes and agility of a cat in order to fight her enemies. Instead of your usual benevolent super-hero; or rather, super-heroine crap; Catwoman comes with an interesting twist. She often walks on a thin line between crime and justice - she is a wildcat at heart, so many consider her dangerous and untamed.

Right now, EA is promoting the game's main character as the sexiest female ever (which I believe is also the slogan for Warner's movie). Hm, the sexiest female ever? Well, she sure as hell has the outfit for it - high heels, tight leather pants and a pair of high heels to boot. And did I mention high heels? Also, the way the character is animated looks pretty darn impressive, making the character even more attractive ... with her high heels and all. Did I tell you she wears really high ... heels?

At the beginning of the game, we saw the Catwoman heading out on her first duty, which involved robbing a jewelry store and snatching a few diamonds so she can power-up. (Isn't that just like a woman - powering herself up with diamonds! - Ed) Each time she comes close to an opponent they would seem practically defenseless against her super-human abilities. Most of us viewing the action were disappointed to see such weak resistance from the AI. While the Catwoman ran around on all fours beating the crap out of three guys at once, the guards didn't lift a finger (or anything else for that matter) in reaction to her deadly blows. We look forward to seeing a more resilient AI when the full version of the game hits the stores. At any rate, the combos, movement and other various actions, appear to work just fine. Our sexy leather-clad girly in high-heels can use a variety of moves to topple her foes and may also make use of diverse objects lying around the environment, such as dumpsters or similar stuff. She can also leap across rooftops, run across walls and exercise her feline sense to avoid enemy gunfire. Catwoman's long and pretty darn threatening whip comes handy in certain situations. (It depends on how much you pay her by the hour. - Ed) With a simple crack of her whip, she can swing from buildings and climb or descend from various structures. I'm telling ya, there's something alluring about watching a beautiful female figure making its way across buildings and bringing down enemies with nothing but a huge whip. I like it when women know how to whip it out...

As far as action/adventures go, there's plenty to expect from EA's Catwoman. Technically, the game looks fine and everything runs smoothly. Although some issues still need to be ironed out before the game's release (July 23rd, 2004), such as the somewhat puny reactions from foes, we anticipate many gamers will jump at the chance to see this cat-like lass in action.

In any case, Catwoman is making her way to the PC and all major consoles. EA once again holds a potential franchise in its pocket. Just so you know Catwoman is in the works at Argonaut, the same dudes responsible for titles like SWAT and I-Ninja.
