Boarder Zone immediately establishes a crucial difference from its competitors in permitting the snowboarding equivalent of off-road racing. Brouillat comments that, "Other snowboarding games are like car games.
You have narrow and restricted tracks, but in actual snowboarding it is all about freedom." His favorite element is the open exploration possibilities, with even the chance existing of getting completely lost.
In Boarder Zone, you may choose your own lines and can actually even jump over the track fences and keep going. The open freedom portrayed here reminds me of that in Microsoft's Motocross Madness in the motorcycle arena.
