| » All About Jack Nicklaus 6: Golden Bear Challenge on ActionTrip | |
Jack Nicklaus' decades-long domination of the sport has made his name synonymous with golf. His achievements, an inspiration to golfers everywhere. Most Major Championship victories. Most Masters victories. Most U.S. Open victories. Most PGA Championship victories.
Now you can be a part of the Nicklaus legend. For the first time ever, play either as, or against, the Golden Bear himself. Feel what it's like to be a legend.
Jack Nicklaus 6: Golden Bear Challenge takes the critically acclaimed game franchise to the next level, with enhanced graphics and game play, life-like golfers, an improved, intuitive interface, great camera control, excellent opponent A.I., pro-sportscaster commentary and multiplayer support.
Create your own courses with the powerful Course Editor or download hundreds of dream links designed by game series enthusiasts worldwide. Further providing depth to the rich golf experience, a new resource/attribute system allows players to customize unique golfing styles, affecting play. By adjusting the speed of the swing meter players can implement a skill point system to help customize their golfer's attributes. Much like a traditional RPG, on a separate skill setting screen gamers set the speed of their swing meter to provide additional skill points (40 points for a swing meter set to "very fast," 10 points for a swing meter set to "medium," etc.). Players then apply these points to five different categories, full shot power, full shot accuracy, sand play, around the green and putting. So for instance, a player's character may hit longer drives but the character's putting may suffer.
An intuitive in-game interface simplifies game play and enhances control. Improved ball physics, plus animated 3-D objects like moving flags, birds, divots and water splashes, creates a more real-to-life golfing experience.
