File Synopsis

Microsoft Golf 1999 Edition is an easy to use, true-to-life golf game available for the PC. Fluid and realistic game graphics, beautifully rendered courses, and accurate ball physics recreate the feel of a real round of golf. Microsoft Golf 1999 Edition is fully multiplayer-capable via the MSN Gaming Zone (http://www.zone.com/), a modem with others, or a local-area network.

  • World-class courses.
Microsoft Golf 1999 Edition features seven courses, with three new ones: Donald Ross Memorial, Eagle Heights, and Medalist Golf Club. Along with Teeth of the Dog, the Links at Casa de Campo, Bay Harbor, and the Preserve 9, you have 117 holes in all to choose from.
  • Play against the world with a vastly improved Multiplayer capability.
It's now easier than ever to get connected and play. Players can compete via modem, LAN, or challenge virtual golfers around the globe through the MSN Gaming Zone. The Zone provides "matchmaking" for those looking to play against others with similar skills.
  • New, easier-to-use interface.
Playing Microsoft Golf from your desktop has never been simpler. Microsoft Golf 1999 Edition features hassle-free installation, and three simple set-up options get players on the course in minutes. Instructional videos are built into the game, and customizable options and varying skill levels ensure that Microsoft Golf 1999 Edition will continually challenge your skills as your expertise grows.
  • The ball is in the cup!
Your short game will be on par with the pros with our improved putting engine.
  • Chipping dynamics more realistic.
We've tightened this one up, making it a little more challenging to chip from the rough and sand directly into the cup.
  • True-to-life game experience.
Microsoft Golf 1999 Edition combines incredible 3-D course graphics, motion-captured animations and superior location-based sounds to create a complete gaming experience. Cutting-edge technologies don't sacrifice performance -- Microsoft Golf 1999 Edition provides fluid animations and rapid graphics loading.
  • Real-world customization.
Microsoft Golf 1999 Edition allows players to customize options such as club distance, strength, and even the weather, providing opportunities to test real-world scenarios on the computer.
  • Real-world physics.
Microsoft Golf 1999 Edition's ball-flight dynamics allow golf balls to bounce and roll the way players expect them to on real fairways and greens -- even specific to the three different types of balls you can choose from.
  • Depth of game play.
Microsoft Golf 1999 Edition features four swing modes and game-play options including Match Play, Skins, Bingo-Bango-Bongo, Scramble and more.
  • Virtual caddie.
Players can benefit from the experience of their own personal caddie in selecting clubs and learning the secrets of each hole.

Demo features: 3 holes of The Donald Ross Memorial course (holes 8, 13, 18). All the game mechanics/options of the full version. Three different pre-defined game types: Solo - Play by yourself. Twosome - Play stroke play against the computer. Bingo Bango Bongo - Play Bingo Bango Bongo (not Super) against the computer.
