| » All About Midtown Madness on ActionTrip | |
Midtown Madness combines the challenge of competitive racing, the strategy of urban navigation, the freedom of unrestrained exploration and the thrill of the chase within a realistically modeled, ever-changing and fully interactive city environment. Set within the "mean streets" of Chicago, players must blast through miles of roads, shortcuts, neighborhoods and sometimes even buildings to beat the competition.
But getting there is only half the fun. Gamers must outwit their opponents, not just out-drive them. A number of hair-raising scenarios will immerse drivers in nonstop urban action as they careen in one of ten realistically modeled vehicles, each with its own unique strengths. Ever-changing traffic, weather and pedestrian conditions along with diligent (and really fast) law enforcement make for challenging gameplay that is difficult to master but a lot of fun.
The Midtown Madness demo includes three vehicles: the city bus, the 99 Ford Mustang, and the Panoz Roadster. A portion of Chicago is included in the trial, enough to host a variety of races all set in the same area. The trial includes the following events:
The demo also includes the same Zone support that the retail version has. Except for cops and robbers, the events above are available both single and multiplayer. It also has something extra: billboards that you can ram into and knock over.
