Need for Speed has returned! Race your modified Porsche 911 Turbo against your opponents through a European village and countryside (alternating between day and night each time it's run). The track is the Route Adonf in France. Traffic is on and there are three opponents.
Recreated through close collaborations with the world's most renowned car manufacturers, NFS: High Stakes brings you a dream collection waiting to be unleashed on the open road. Speed has its consequences so weigh the risks carefully. Carelessness results in costly damage and flagrant disregard for the law results in strict enforcement from the Highway patrol. You can also choose to uphold the law behind the wheel of high-speed Police cruisers. This demo has a screenshot capturing functionality so NFS fans can get involved with the NFS/EA "screenshot of the day" contest via the Need for Speed web site. The contest will have one daily winner with prizes (TBD, but will definitely include free copies of the boxed game) being awarded weekly. NFS fans need to submit a screen shot, caption and their name via the NFS site. Contest will start on Jun e 4, 1999.
