Populous: The Beginning is the third in the highly successful series of 'god-sims'.

In Populous: The Beginning, players begin their quest to become a god, not in the heavens, but on land as the mortal leader of a small tribe.

With only a few spells and the ability to ability to convert and command people, players will face multiple opponents over five worlds and 25 levels.

Along the way to becoming the only player with a flock of worshipers, they will be exposed to a powerful 3-D engine that offers a revolutionary curved horizon and perspective with fluid movement.

The choice of perspective allows players to go back-and-forth between ground-level view and a cosmic view of the world as a whole.

Featuring Direct3D support, the demo includes tutorials, a multiplayer level and 3 single player levels to whet the appetites of fans of the previous two games.
