File Synopsis

Last year's surprise first-person game wasn't a "shooter," but a "sneaker." Eidos grabbed everyone's attention with Thief: The Dark Project, which had players assuming the role of Garrett, a master thief. The player's goal wasn't to amass a huge body count on the way to victory--rather, the best way to win was to kill nothing while avoiding detection.

An enhanced version of the original game, Thief Gold: The Dark Project features 3 all-new missions (Thieves' Guild, Mage's Guild, and Songs of the Caverns), as well as "tuned" versions of the original 12 missions. The new levels add to Garrett's story, but keep the story line and plot intact.

The demo features a section of the Thieves' Guild level, in which Garrett, after hearing about internal conflict over a pilfered item, decides to end the argument by nabbing the item himself.
