Far Cry 2 review
Out of all the releases currently flooding the market, I honestly never expected Far Cry 2 would take so much time to review. There's plenty to experience in this game. What's more, you can cross out any potential involvement of unimaginatively designed models of mutated humans, extraterrestrials or the presence of fictional beings of any kind...

German Police Boss Asks for Ban on "Killergames"
One week back, a Sunday Times story highlighted possible links between the German school killer Tim Kretschmer and the first-person shooter Far Cry 2. Ubisoft's latest financial press release (.pdf) shows that the publisher means to push back three of its upcoming titles. Far Cry 2, EndWar and Brothers in Amrs, all originally slated for Q1 2008, are now coming in Ubi's 2008-'09 fiscal year, which starts on April 1, 2008.

Ha! So Ubisoft is continuing the Far Cry franchise without its creators - CryTek Studios, who are busy working on Crysis for EA. They've just announced Far Cry 2, under development by Ubisoft Montreal (who are also working on Assassin's Creed) and coming to the PC in Spring 2008.

Far Cry 2 Info Leaked
There was some major leakage at Ubisoft recently as GameIndustry.biz reports that a 2 gigabyte file had been posted in a location accessible by the public, since removed, containing artwork, logos and screenshots for announced and unannounced titles, including a tech demo for Far Cry 2.
