MS Sells 28 Million 360s
Microsoft is boasting that the company sold more than 28 million Xbox 360s since the console's launch in November 2005, reports LA Times. According to MS execs, that means they overshot Sony's PlayStation 3, which shifted 20 million since its debut in November 2006.

Epic Games release a patch for the multiplayer portion of their popular Xbox 360 shooter Gears of War 2, addreassing the matchmaking issues. Here's the word from Epic regarding the update: Adjustments to make Public matchmaking faster, especially in the single player party and the four player party case.

Gears of War 2 Sells 2 Million
Epic Games and Microsoft announced that weekend sales of the X360-exclusive shooter Gears of War 2 reached 2 million units worldwide. “We were so excited to launch ‘Gears of War 2’ on the same day all around the world, something virtually unheard of in the games business,” said Cliff Bleszinski, design director at Epic Games.

It's officially been confirmed that DC Comics partnered with Epic Games to publish a Gears of War comic book series, which is "slated to debut from DC’s WildStorm publishing imprint in October.
