I don't think EA did any research for the Battlefield games, maybe Dice did a little, but they're talking about the dense jungle foliage on Iwo Jima, and according to my grandfather, who was actually there, the place had about six trees on it before we started shelling the place.

The folks at Lucas have released a new trailer from Star Wars: Battlefront, their upcoming BF 1942-style vehicular shooter set in the Yoda universe. (It's Yoda's universe I tell you!) The movie demonstrates the game's premise and features in a minute and a half of action-packed, in-game footage.

BF1942 v1.5 Patch Delayed
An update to the BF42.com Forums reveals that the Battlefield 1942 version 1.5 patch will not be released this week as was hoped. The developers are right now addressing the lag induced by use of the Destroyer's machine gun and promise to fix the CD swapping bug before the patch comes out.
