GTA IV Sells Close to 1M in UK, Outsells Wii Fit
During its first day on the UK market Grand Theft Auto IV sold over 609,000 copies (in both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 variants). The latest info, coming from Chart-Track, shows that the incredibly popular action adventure shifted 926,000 copies after five days in retail stores across the United Kingdom.

Activision and Nintendo Win the Holiday Season
So who are the big winners this holiday season? The answer is rather straightforward -- it's Call of Duty 4 and Super Mario Galaxy. I must say, though I had expected CoD4 to do good, I was really kind of surprised at just how successful it turned out to be in terms of sales -- it's the actual sales figures that way surpassed my expectations.

Sega Saying Sony Needs to Slash PS3 Price
Reuters reports that Masanao Maeda, Sega corporate director, said in an interview that Sony probably needs to reduce the price of its PS3 console by the end of 2007, so as to lure more buyers with a product that's not doing so well on the current market.
