Why do console game reviewers have this lousy tendency to give perfect scores to video games? The more cynical amongst us will say because there's more money in console gaming (as opposed to PC gaming), so the payoffs are higher, and well, I'd agree with ya.

Square Enix U.S.A. announced that Final Fantasy XI for Windows (the first online title in the FF series) ships to North American retailers today. FINAL FANTASY XI for Windows will include the "Rise of the Zilart(TM)" expansion pack and other applications on five CD-ROM discs, and carry a suggested retail price of $49.
