During a Japanese press event, Square Enix officially revealed that Final Fantasy XIII will be on store shelves in Japan as of December 17, 2009. Most gamers and franchise fans have already heard of this particular date, because the info was leaked via YouTube a while back.

Square Enix U.S.A. announced that Final Fantasy XI for Windows (the first online title in the FF series) ships to North American retailers today. FINAL FANTASY XI for Windows will include the "Rise of the Zilart(TM)" expansion pack and other applications on five CD-ROM discs, and carry a suggested retail price of $49.
