HoMM Creator Announces MMOG
Trion World Network announces its premiere title. The company's press release talks of a fantasy-themed massively multiplayer online role-playing game, which will be designed by none other than Jon Van Caneghem - best known for creating the RPG and strategy franchises Might and Magic and Heroes of Might and Magic.

Arguably sooner than most have expected, Ubisoft has announced an expansion for Heroes of Might & Magic V entitled Hammers of Fate. Developed by Nival Interactive, the same guys that made the original, the add-on will be available in November 2006.

Nival and Ubisoft have released a new movie from Heroes of Might and Magic V. If anyone can bring this series back to life, Nival can. After a string of royal fuck-ups by the now defunct 3DO (namely the fourth game), this awesome turn-based strategy franchise was all but dead.
