The game is set in the fictional underwater dystopia of Rapture, in a biopunk/dieselpunk 1968, eight years after the events of BioShock. The protagonist and player-controlled character is a Big Daddy, a being that has had its organs and skin grafted into an atmospheric diving suit. Among the first of its kind, the player-controlled Big Daddy, named Subject Delta, reactivates with no recollection of the past decade's events, and scours the city in an attempt to relocate the Little Sister that he was paired with. Fearing this reunion will ruin her plans for the city, Sofia Lamb sends out her spliced up followers that she calls The Rapture Family and new Big Sisters in an attempt to deter Delta.

BioShock 2 Now Developed by 4 Teams
France-based developer Arkane Studios is now officially the 4th studio to take part in the Take-Two-funded project BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams. 2K Marin are the main cats, also assisted by 2K Australia and Digital Extremes who are crafting the multiplayer.

BioShock 2 Gets Back 'Sea of Dreams'
This is starting to get on my nerves. It looks as though the much-talked-about shooter BioShock 2 will get the subtitle "Sea of Dreams" after all. This was confirmed by a source from 2K Games, contradicting last week's statement from 2K Games' community manager.

Bioshock 3 to Coincide With Movie Release
Take-Two Interactive chairman Strauss Zelnick hinted the existence of a third chapter in the acclaimed sci-fi shooter franchise. According to this report, when asked about the Gore Verbinski-helmed theatrical release of BioShock, Zelnick replied that the movie's release is likely to arrive in proximity to BioShock 3, rather than BioShock 2.
