Blizzard today announced that StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty sold over 3 million copies worldwide during the game's first month on the market, which makes it the fastest-selling real-time strategy game of all time (that's according to "internal company records, public data, and/or reports from key distribution partners").

Xbox 360 Tops July Hardware Sales
NPD released both software and hardware console sales for July 2010. The thing is, although Blizzard's StarCraft 2 sold 721K units during the month, making a major contribution to the 103% growth of PC sales, the real-time strategy is not shown in the charts below (these are console sales).
