NPD's All-Time Highest Revenue Games
NPD has released a list of the games to generate the largest amount of revenue in their entire history of record keeping. I assume this does not adjust for inflation or subscription costs (the Sims, Myst, World of Warcraft?), but the recent history of packaging expensive peripheral devices really shows its mark.

There's a number of reports indicating that MTV and Harmonix are already working on a sequel to the rhythm/music game, Rock Band. It seems that certain retailer databases not only suggest the existence of Rock Band 2, but claim that it would hit the market as early as November 2008.

You have to admit it's a catchy headline. It's true as well, although blatantly sensationalistic. Rock band The Romantics is suing Activision, Harmonix and Red Octane over a cover version of one of their songs featured in Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80's.
