Nobody expects the Spanish... Um, you may not have been expecting this, but here is the hard truth. ActionTrip.com will be officially shutting down. That means that, as of July, 2016, there will be no more Morning Posts, no reviews, no news, no features, no cheats, no videos and no web comics.

I'm sure you're all well aware of the fact that AT is part of a highly competitive industry. Regardless, you should know that we did everything in our power to keep our little purple pessimism boat afloat. As a team of enthusiastic gamers and writers, we have dedicated our lives to ActionTrip. We went on ridiculous rants, threw hissy fits, criticized the industry when it sucked (which was practically all the time). Occasionally though, we acted like hopeless fanboys and fangals while playing certain games, because we were running out of fucks to give you see, and just wanted to have a good time like the rest of you.

Working for ActionTrip has been the experience of a lifetime. I've been with the site since the year 2000, and have had a blast. As a game journalist and comic writer, I've cooperated with so many interesting and talented people, and I've enjoyed watching them work, and have learned new things from all of them. I express a colossal 'thanks' to our team of tireless writers. I am indebted to 2lions, Keri, Dex and our good, old friend Vince (damn, he is old) and Blake (damn he's young). I thank Anthony for his help, and Larry and Jen who were our newest arrivals. I'm also grateful to Borislav, our comic artist, for his dedication and hard work.

Most of all I thank each and every one of you, our dear readers, especially those that have stuck with us all these years. After all, 16 years in this business? That's gotta count for something!

At this point, I'd also like to thank my family and friends for supporting me personally when times were the toughest.

Okay, so, some of you may still be pondering: what the hell will the AT staff do now? The truth is, we'll manage. We are skillful, brave enough, silly enough and funny enough to succeed in this world. And that's all you need really - a few skills to get by, and a little humor in your life to make things easier. Not much else. How do you think our articles and comics got made? It was a combination of hard work and letting our massive inner-chocobos run amok! Like this.

To our team of writers, I'd also like to say one more thing:

Godspeed, and I know you'll stay devoted to gaming when this is over and perhaps we'll all meet in an RPG-themed inn one day, looking back on AT, life and everything else with laughter and delicious wine (or beer) in our bellies. Actually, that message can go for the rest of you folks, and to whoever is reading AT now.

And remember, this is the Internet, so I'm sure we'll all be ruthlessly arguing about games somewhere sooner or later ;) So, see ya then.
