Anonymous Threatens Zynga

Hacker collective Anonymous is now aiming to release, what they say is, confidential information from the company Zynga, which recently uncovered its plans to sack hundreds of its employees.

The hacker group claims Zynga documents detailing plans to lay off 800 employees in a move that would signal the "end of the US game market as we know it." They plan to release this information on November 5, unless Zynga cancels their plans regarding the layoffs. Anonymous revealed this via its official news channel.

Yaay... err, I mean damn those, nasty hackers, damn 'em!

Anyway, unless they're saying is Zynga is planning to break the law in some as yet unexplained way, on its face it seems to me like Anonymous is way out of line with this one. If Zynga wants to fire its employees, that's their right, whether it's a dick move or not.

I don't know the details, but it's not even necessarily a dick move. If they're not profitable and need to cut back staff to stay alive, then what's the problem? It sucks to be those employees but this happens all the time. Something doesn't add up here.

Anonymous needs to *do* before they *talk*. At least to let us know they mean business.

The problem is this company fucked up big time. you're all saying its ok to layoff so many people just because YOU don't work for that company. and that its a purely financial situation....

I say spill the beans. without Anonymous, a lot of you wouldn't even know what these companies are doing. without the guy who spilled wikileaks.without the military guy who let loose info in relation to what wikileaks was letting go. people are just "ok" with secrets now. fucking dumb considering we live in the generation of social networking.

The problem isn't the people(lower level) or money(somewhat as in enough to run a company) which i'm sure the top heads are still making, its about a company being too cocky moving too fast and the obvious fucking problem of hiring too many----too fast.

"Oh its a pure money situation" no lets get to the root of the fu^&*() problem. management. just like wall street. just like banks.just like every other company that has run into trouble. its almost a guarantee that its due to paying the few high ups to much and them just being plain dumb in decisions. to please themselves or investors(which on a side note will be facebooks ultimate doom is doing what please investors and not the people)

Seriously you guys are cool with "ok 800 people laid off" go walk into frankenstorm or w/e the fu^& it is. I realize its not a FORD plant shutting down but its a big deal in the gaming world/real life none the less.

Rant over. Excuse the excessive cussing.

800 people? Good grief, things are worse than I thought.

Well Zynga's bubble is about to burst. Wall Street sent Zynga's stock tumbling to a new all-time low as the Internet game developer lost $52.7 million.

There facing declining revenue and lawsuits also. Key personal have also left the sinking ship also earlier this year.
