Ubisfot's stealth themed action adventure Assassin's Creed Revelations is now available for purchase in the US for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. Here's the word:
Assassin's Creed Revelations marks the peak of the epic journey of master assassin Ezio Auditore in the age-old war between Assassins and Templars. Assassin's Creed Revelations is an action-adventure game that blends thrilling combat, stunning hyper-realistic graphics and a gripping tale of intrigue and self-discovery.
Developed and led by Ubisoft Montreal with the support and expertise of Ubisoft studios Annecy, Massive Entertainment, Quebec, Singapore and Bucharest, Assassin's Creed Revelations presents the most immersive experience available in the series to date and the culmination of Ezio's adventure.
In Assassin's Creed Revelations, master assassin Ezio Auditore walks in the footsteps of the legendary assassin Altaïr on a journey of revelation. It is a perilous path - one that will take Ezio to Constantinople, the heart of the Ottoman Empire, where a growing army of Templars threatens to destabilize the region.
In addition to Ezio's award-winning story, the acclaimed online multiplayer experience returns, refined and expanded, with more modes, more maps and more characters that allow players to test their assassin skills against others from around the world.

And it can never ever compete with Skyrim. I am playing it since release and I have not yet cleared a half of it.
Although I've seen some illogical scoring in some of the reviews... for example, IGN's review explicitly declares it the best AC to date in the article's body, and then gives the game a score lower than they gave the previous two games. lol?
I think maybe Ubisoft has hurt themselves by releasing these AC games too frequently (despite having more than enough new content each time to objectively justify it). If people had to wait longer between installments, the anticipation and subsequently the sense of satisfaction would be greater.
Look at Skyrim. It looks like a game from two years ago, but because people have waited for it for 5 years, no one really seems to care about the somewhat dated visuals... people have been so eager for a new TES game that such minor shortcomings are easy to dimiss.
But would they care more and much more severely hold it against Skyrim if the last TES game was released only a year ago? Probably.
