Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition Arrives
Uros "Vader" Pavlovic
07:05 am EDT @ November 29th, 2012

According to the official Baldur's Gate web site, the perked up version of BioWare's old RPG is now available for purchase for Windows PC via Beamdog Service.
Word is: "If you've already purchased Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, you can either download it through the Beamdog client, which can be found here, or through the Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition Installer which can be downloaded here. Please note that due to extreme server load it may take some time to get your game, but we are working around the clock to alleviate the situation."
Check out the recent Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition cinematic and gameplay trailer.

Yes, it's a glorified mod (though I would argue it's a*bit* more than just that), and yes, one can get the same thing for free, but with a not-insubstantial amount of work/finesse involved (I've reinstalled & modded this game to the *hilt* over the years; I speak from bitter experience).
So it seems to come down to: at most, you're *really* going to question people's ability for imagined entitlement at any cost, to have something done FOR them, no matter what they have to pay?
And, at least, you're telling me you wouldn't pay someone (who was clearly willing to spend more time than most of us) to get an updated, (mechanically) expanded and stable game that you loved, back on your PC to enjoy all over again in your current operating system?
Methinks someone is just sporting their fancy, new, BG1-Hater pants, of late. Mighty fetching on you, sir, I must say. ;)
