Black Ops 2 Specs Revealed

The system requirements for the PC edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 have been unveiled via the official Call of Duty Forums. Here they are (oh and it looks like, XP Windows users are out):

  • OS: Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7
  • CPU: Intel Core2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHz or AMD Phenom X3 8750 2.4 GHz
  • Memory: 2GB for 32-bit OS or 4GB for 64-bit OS
  • Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 8800GT 512 MB or ATI Radeon HD 3870 512 MB More

Wow, all these years have passed and I'm still reading GeForce 8800GT up there... Amazing.

Well, that's obviously a very forgiving graphics engine.

On a (vaguely) related note, I wonder how well those parts would run Crysis... ;-D

(512MB of video RAM? Not well, I'd imagine.)

They had to make it run on consoles with old ass hardware.

they are being greedy and listing the absolute minimum requirement so they can get as many people as possible.

Can't blame them for leaving XP behind. That OS is ancient. Everyone should be on Vista or Windows 7 by now!

" their graphics engine is ancient"

Well I've seen an analysis from that gametrailer economist, Pach something, and he was saying that Activision is so big that none can buy it. Even the media corporations will not get involved with this freak. And because Activision has to pay tons of money to shareholders, it will have to borrow, and get in debt. So, long story short, they will not come with anything new in the next 10 years. They have too milk this cow dry. They are not making games. They are making money.
So, from me, RIP Activision.
