If there's one thing that makes the PC stand above consoles, it is the ubiquity of user generated content. That's all I'm willing to concede.

So if you have a PC, and a copy of Portal 2, if you go into Steam and select the "Tools" tab, there will now be the beta version of the Portal 2 Authoring Tools. It contains all kinds of neat things, like an updated versions of the software used to generate content for the Source engine, as well as example maps and more.

There's mailing lists to join if you're into Portal 2 level design and mailing lists too.

	Reply I can think of many things that make the PC stand above consoles, but I won't go there. I'll just point out that rotten games based on summer blockbusters would have never flied on the PC. That cancer is the result of the console crowd's inability to say 'no' to anything that involves senseless violence.

	Reply I love the amount of control on a pc but being able to play games on my 46 inch TV from an xbox is simply more satisfying. And yes i know you can HDMI out to a TV but its awkward and frustrating. I need a chair and table to PC game.

	Reply I've tried EVERY major console since a long time, SNES, N64, PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox360, Wii, and i've sold them all after playing the one game that wasnt on the PC to begin with... Poeple that likes consoles are people that likes to be raped in the ass, every day. "And it looks ugly. Not everyone has room for a pc tower in their living room." And comments like that prove to us that you like being raped in the ass so much, you would'nt even admit that there IS in fact designer PC towers that look good, and that are NOT bigger than a PS3...

	Reply I think I'm going to give this a shot, I have some experience from mapmaking in Hammer and at least some simple levels won't require too many entities. Valve's wiki pages are full of useful information about this, you should look it up if you want to start making maps.
