Namco today uncovered that new downloadable content, called Artorias of the Abyss, is being prepared for the RPG. The content was released alongside Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition (PC). Console gamers will be able to grab the fresh content via PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE on October 24th, 2012 in Europe and Australasia.
FromSoftware confirmed that The Artorias of the Abyss DLC gives console gamers "an enhanced online PVP (player vs. player) mode."
In addition, "Dark Souls: Artorias of the Abyss will include sprawling new maps and environments, new boss characters, enemies, non-player characters (NPCs), an arsenal of new weapons and armor and additional challenging content for unrelenting heroes to face as they return to the deadly world of Lordran. Darkness born in the forests of Oolacile is expanding and engulfing the kingdom and all of its people. Only the strongest players will be able to stop the encroaching darkness. Dark Souls: Artorias of the Abyss will include an online match-making feature allowing console gamers to showcase their skills against other Dark Souls players around the world."

Dark Souls is an extremely hardcore game. SUPPOSEDLY that's what PC gamers are all about, so I don't see why they should have an issue with Dark Souls gameplay, in and of itself. Should be right up their alley.
However, if you mean to criticize the dubious technical quality of the port-job, that's a valid point, but that has nothing to do with the game's 'theme'.
Only problem I had is that by clearing all of the areas in the game toroughly, without using shortcuts and skipping certain parts, can get you overpowered at one point. Mind that I did a bit of farming, but nothing significant. Just a feeling I had.
Played the game on PC. Enviroments are pretty nice, design is good. Quality would be much better if port was decent. Shame.
I personaly don't know many PC gamers that don't own a gamepad. Guess that's because football (soccer) games are pretty popular in my surroundings. But then again, everyone should have it if they want to enjoy a broader choice of games.
