It appears console gamers will be able to download demos for several titles later today. Playable versions of Dead Space 2, Mass Effect 2 and LittleBigPlanet 2 are all gonna launch on the PS3 and Xbox 360. That's only for US gamers, mind you. Those who live in Europe won't be able to try out the demos until some time tomorrow (thanks CVG).

Just thought I mention it, in case you didn't know, that BioWare is utilizing a new engine for the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2, so PS3 gamers will be soon be able to see it in action - it's the same engine that's going to be used for Mass Effect 3.

As Electronic Arts confirmed the demo for Dead Space 2 will "allow players to discover the Church of Unitology and help Isaac defeat the Necromorph outbreak in a gruesome, unforgiving battle on The Sprawl."
