Deux Ex Boss Battles Were Outsourced

Word has reached us that Eidos Montreal outsourced the boss fights in their game Deus Ex: Human Revolution to Grip Entertainment. The boss fights in the game were deemed unbalanced and, well, a bit clumsy, especially for gamers (such as myself) who spend most of their play time investing into passive, stealth-based augmentations, instead of more aggressive skills designed for combat. Either way, the battles weren't perfect.
Grip Entertainment president Paul Kruszewski confessed that he was given the project, but it was his first contact with the Deus Ex series."Full confession: I'm a shooter guy," he admits. "I was coming into this not knowing a lot about the Deus Ex world. The guys at Eidos gave us the design, gave us the engine…and we gave them back that experience."
"Balancing that was brutally hard. I've been building technology for 20 years... and it's one of the cleanest, best pieces of technology I've ever built."
There you have it. Well, granted, the boss battles were unbalanced somewhat, but in all fairness, this wasn't too much of a setback and it didn't ruin the experience for us.

The other 2 major annoyances were:
You get too many augs by the end of the game. I maxed almost all. First game (DX 1) had a lot more variety with different augs per slot and skill points.
Hacking got boring fast and the way it was constantly used in the game needs an overhaul. Also, the cursor on a PC were also very imprecise, so the game often detected "auto-hack" instead of regular hack.
A stupid decision on Eidos Montreal's part for outsourcing AND letting it through to the final product.
But still when you add up the great elements like user interface, graphics, sound, a well paced story this game still deserves a 98+.
- shitty boss fights
- to many aug making the choice of path meaningless
- AND THE SHITTY ENDING
all make dues ex fail as a game of the year sure its alot better than many games but hect after playing it i started up my copys of dues ex and the invisible and to be honest i found dues ex to still be alot more engaging and to be honest the end choice in invisible war felt alot more engaging and meaningful.
People here just don't fucking get it.
I, for one, agreed the most with the "suicide" ending and the "Sarif's" ending. Either that one person has not the right to decide on a matter this important, or that we should be allowed grasp outside our reach. Maybe it will destroy us sometimes, but then it will not bother us anyway.
Arkham City has been delayed anyways so, nothing more to do than this and the WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGHH!
/shrug
In any case, people should keep in mind the game represents Edios Montreal's debut-effort. There was bound to be some flaws, what's amazing is that there were so few.
Not quite as a stunning a debut-effort as Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Asylum, but pretty darn close.
(honestly, the thing that bothers me most about DX:HR is the too-small-head syndrome the character models have that DOES NOT look intentional, and this: http://www.gamesradar.com/deus-ex-human-revolution-did-they-really-think-we-wouldnt-notice-this/ )
It's dumb even for a standard shooter.
Its especially important for an RPG not to punish you for making a choice that is actually promoted the first time you select weapons for a mission... if you want to focus heavily on stealth or hacking as opposed to combat, there shouldnt be mandatory sections of the game which cant be overcome except through combat, any more than there should be mandatory sections of the game that cannot be overcome unless you specialised in hacking or stealth.
Vader, you need to start rating the games you review based on the degree to which they deliver the game experience they set out to create, rather than how well they live up to your personal expectations based on trailers, marketing hype and fanboy inclinations.
this was just to save the studio from being destroyed by square enix and nothing else.
