Blizzard Entertainment revealed their third financial results, which were solid, mostly thanks to the release of World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria. It appears that WoW, the company's MMORPG, once again reached a subscriber base of 10 million.

More importantly, it's now been confirmed that an expansion pack for Diablo 3 is on the way. "So we do have a plan. An expansion planned for Diablo," commented company boss Mike Morhaime. "I think that the most important thing for us always comes down to the quality of the expansion and the gameplay, and so that will be a big factor in terms of driving our schedule." In other words, there is no release date yet.

At least we do know that, StarCraft 2: Heart of the Sward, the add-on for Blizzard's RTS, is going to be released in 2013.
