Dragon Age 2 Sells 1 Million, BioWare Gives ME 2 For Free

According to BioWare, Dragon Age 2 shifted one million copies in less than two weeks, which evidently encouraged BioWare to make an interesting time limited offer. Players who bought the game new (PC or console) can claim a free PC download of the Mass Effect 2, but certain criteria has to be met obviously... You have to be wear a turban while ordering.

I kid.

"Thanks to gamers like you, Dragon Age II is off to a great start - breaking the one million mark in less than two weeks and faster than Dragon Age: Origins," BioWare said on its official website. "We appreciate your support. As a special thank you for helping with the game's early success, BioWare would like to present you with a download code for 2010's Game of the Year, Mass Effect 2 on PC."

I was wanting to play ME2, since ME1 was very addictive during the first playthrough. But I'm not paying 50 or however much this crap costs nowadays.

They should give a 75% discount on Steam instead.

This is not good news. Dragon Age 2 is a shell of Dragon Age 1, but it's selling well. Now EVERY Bioware game will be dumbed down. Bioware was one of the few diamonds in the game industry, but now they are nothing but slaves to EA.

What I find most upsetting is that this is kind of a slap in the face to all the gamers who have already purchased ME2... "Oh ya, if you had just waited, you were gonna get that for free..." Why not give Bioware points to award the us faithful...errr make that stupid...

Pretty tempting offer actually, but I think I'll buy an RPG instead.

I do own the ME2 CE but since I owned it. I pretty much redeem this copy and gave it to a friend who didn't own it.
