Error 37 is No More Says, Blizzard
Going in line with the news that Blizzard's recent updates, the well-known developer/publisher has announced a new update for Diablo 3. This one aims to remove the infamous 'Error 37' which was part of the D3 launch debacle which lasted quite a while and wasn't exactly well-received by gamers.

Anyway, here are some of the fixes that were promised to go with this update:

General

  • If the authentication service is busy, the login checkbox will now wait at "Authenticating Credentials" until a player's login attempt can be processed. As a result, players should no longer encounter Error 37 when logging in.
  • Achievements have been granted to players who previously completed their objectives, but were not correctly awarded completion credit.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed several crashes which occurred when clicking on player-generated item links in the game client

So basically they just covered it up by not telling you it's error 37
  daver18qc: exactly ! are'nt they clever !

Yeah, pretty much. They're simply embarrassed by how the phrase "error 37" has gone viral and become an infamous internet meme forever immortalizing their fuck-up.

This move is basically intended to stop that meme from getting any more traction, but the damage has already been done, obviously.

Another reason to avoid buying this game: You burn through Bandwidth on Single Player.

Im still waiting on the news heading "Boy commits sucicide over death of HC character due to being disconnected" ok so not the most catchy headline but you get the picture

Uh I don't know guys, it seems a bit more robust than just saying they're trying to "cover up" error 37 -- though I bet they are pretty damn embarrassed. At any rate, this change makes it so you don't have to keep typing your password a million times if Blizzard's servers are busy, so that's kind of nice.
  Copperr: yeah you don't know

When will Blizzard wake up, and let people play this game OFFLINE? Sheesh!
