Final Fantasy VIII Coming to Steam?

A Neogaffer has spotted achievements listed for Final Fantasy VIII in the Steam database, and he kindly posted a link to what he found. Does this mean Final Fantasy VIII will be coming to Steam?
Possibly, but considering the achievements for Final Fantasy VII have appeared on Steam before and the game is still not on Steam (available on PC, but not on Steam), then it's just as possible that FFVIII will also not go to Steam. Most likely, this suggests that Final Fantasy VIII will be coming to PC, just as FFVII already has, and Steam has prepared a placeholder for it, much like it originally did with FFVII.
Either way, would you be excited for a PC-version of FFVIII, whether or not it goes to Steam?
