Successful platform-exclusive franchises like God of War may help Sony gain
the advantage over MS and its Xbox 360. God of War III is on its way for sure
and is going to be developed for the PlayStation 3 only (lol@other platforms!).
God of War II was good for several reasons. For one thing, it showed that the
PS2 still has potential as a gaming platform. Due to its addictive gameplay,
compelling story and superb atmosphere the game quickly became one of the most
sought-after products on the market last year.
Word has it that the hugely anticipated third installment will feature online
play. According to a job
listing on SCEA's web site, an "Online Gameplay Programmer" is wanted to
"join the team behind the critically acclaimed AAA titles "God of War" and "God
of War II."
If this is meant for GoW III, then it's good news indeed and it gives eager
PS3 owners something to look forward to (aside from MGS 4).
