Grand Theft Auto V in 2010?

Grand Theft Auto V has a good chance of coming out sooner than expected; if we're to believe analyst Michael Pachter, who assumes Rockstar's next addition to GTA, the well-known action adventure series, will be arriving in 2010.

"Management declined to state when the game will launch, but has confirmed to us that the game is in development, has been for over a year, and is using the same game 'engines' as the last version." Pachter said. "Management also told us that the team at Rockstar North is highly motivated to get the game out, and that the team understands that its highest payday will come from working on GTA instead of any other game," he continued.

"When we do the simple math, we conclude that the next instalment is likely to be completed by some time in 2010, although given the frequency of game delays, it is not clear that it will necessarily come before October 31, 2010," he said.

Anything's possible. These days sequels get churned out faster than ever before.

I also hope PC gets DLC this time around. Plus a 12-year-old girl and a donkey.

"is using the same game 'engines' as the last version"
yuppie! PC gamers will have to wait another year or so to get GTA4-alike fucked up game for "future tech computers". it's not future tech! it's just shitty optimization, you rockstar whores!

seems that if i really want to step up to the status of being a gamer i'd actually have to buy a console...

by sounds of it going to be a contiuation style game like
gta 3 > gta3:vice city > gta3:San Andreas
so...
gta 4 > gta4:Sodomy City? > gta4: new Orleans??
although i dont think a game about swimming would be that fun.....

I want another 80's in Vice City. Or maybe London? That would be interesting aswell.

If it is “the same game 'engines' as the last version”, then technically it is still GTA 4 (just like Vice City and San Andreas were still variations of GTA 3).

This is good news, I loved the GTA4 engine!

Well, considering I'm still playing GTA 4(what, don't look at me like that, I actually like the more realistic engine), this is good news, I'm thoroughly sick of Niko and his cousin, but I like the rest of the world, so this is all good news.
