GTA IV DLC to Top 2 Million Downloads
Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Patcher's estimates that Rockstar's downloadable Grand Theft Auto IV expansion The Lost and Damned is going to reach the 2 million downloads in 2009.

"Take-Two released the first installment of DLC for GTA in mid-February, and we estimate that the game has been downloaded over 1 million times to date," said Patcher of the $20 expansion. "By year-end, we think that this figure will likely double, giving us greater confidence that Take-Two can achieve its full-year earnings guidance."

It's a fair assumption, although you certainly don't need to be a genius in order to work out that one.

Yeah, honestly, i think it does have the potential to hit the 2 mil mark...though I wont be a part of that number.

I would have preferred a whole new game instead, something like what Vice City or San Andreas did. They were all still a part of the GTA3 universe in their own ways, even the Stories games were great.

Speaking of, did they ever make a san andreas stories game?

I still think san andreas was a better game, that was my opinion when i beaten gta4 on 360 and haven't changed since.

GTA 4 is an upgrade to GTA3 and Vice City........but a downgrade to San Andreas.

I agree with finaleve.
A new, full game (for the full price) would make a more enticing offer (for me, at least).
I was planning to download the DCL expansion, but now, I'm having second thoughts.

spacemonkey, I'm glad someone else thinks the same as me. San Andreas was by far the best one. GTA4 was an amazing game, no question, but it felt like they took too much of the fun, random crap out of the game. Unless I missed something, no ambulance, firetruck, scooter missions to be found. It was a gorgeous city with a lot of life to it (I live in Brooklyn and was flipping out at how well they captured that chill, brownstone feel in the game), but they just stripped too many of the hi-jinks from the game.

I liked the RPG element to SA, and sheer size (so big airplanes were necessary).

SA was a 9.5 in my book. GTAIV was a 9. The biggest improvement was the aiming system, which was indeed far superior. It was a welcome change, but the deeper push for "realism" was kind of a let down.

Anyone know if there's a PC version of the DLC? When will it be coming out?

they've told that it will eventually ship to the PC and PS3.

Now give me a PC version!

I canīt even complete the damn game, cause @ around 60-65% thereīs this mission where i jump on a helicopter and.... well the helicopter is completely uncontrollable and so you either crash or lose your target... (Iīve rolled back and chose the other path, but itīs still taking me to a god damn helicopter!)
