Half-Life 2 Actor Passed Away

Here's a bit of sad news, I'm afraid. Actor Robert Culp, who gave his voice to the character of Dr Wallace Breen in Valve's Half-Life 2, passed away yesterday at the age of 79. Apparently, Culp fell down while walking near his home in Los Angeles, as reported by LA Times.

Not unexpected... by the time episode 3 ships, all HL2 voice actors will be dead.

It's just that it takes so much time to make this episode, people are dying from old age, that's all I meant ...

Oh, damn. RIP Robert Culp. Your lying and deceiving voice will be missed in the Half Life project, that is you know, if the fatass you worked with bends a little and makes another title.

You nerds need to learn a little patience. Unless you're worried about dropping dead in the next couple of years, it's safe to say we'll all get to play Episode 3 (or Half-Life 3, if that's what it ends up being) eventually.

He was a great actor and I remember him in a show called "American Hero".

He will be missed.

Oddly enough, my Microsoft keyboard died yesterday. Using my laptop and trying get get a Logitech wireless keyboard now.

These are dark days indeed.

How many times do we have to retread this path? Episode 3 takes a crap load of time and effort to create because almost everything in the Half Life games are scripted. The Left for Dead games use the AI director to determine when and how many zombies get thrown at you. So you build some maps, record some audio and off you go.
Granted I am making this a bit TOO black and white but the point it Ep 3 is taking longer because it Half Life add ons take longer.

Half-Life always takes forever. You all should know that and you damn well know that when they release the damn god.

My only complaint is that they don't release any information. It's been 2 years, we need a tease god dammit. HL2 was released what...6 years ago?
