NPD released new sales data, showing BioWare's Mass Effect 3 as the most wanted
game during March 2012. Here's the US sales chart for March:
- Mass Effect 3 (360, PS3, PC)
- Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City (360, PS3)
- MLB: The Show (PS3, PSV)
- NBA 2K12 (360, PS3, Wii, PSP, PS2, PC)
- SSX 2012 (360, PS3)
- Street Fighter X Tekken (PS3, 360)
- Mario Party 9 (Wii)
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (360, PS3, Wii, PC)
- Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations (360, PS3)
- Major League Baseball 2K12 (360, PS3, Wii, NDS, PSP, PC, PS2)
Meanwhile, varied hardware and software revenues in the US have generated $1.10 billion, which marks a 25% drop when compared to March 2011.

Anyway, the real travesty is RE:ORC selling so well, simply because of its brand-name.
Thank you, stupid gamers that don't bother to see if a game is actually decent before handing over your cash; you just convinced CAPCOM that they can heap shit on a plate and still get paid for it, just so long as the franchise label is popular.
