What did you guys think of Spec Ops: The Line? Any of you play that one. I was just checking the list of games we've missed in 2012 and that appears to be one of them.

The game has a pretty decent score on Metacritic and even Yahtzee praised it and regarded it as the best release in 2012 (and I'm sure most of us know how often he praises games).

Never even heard of it.
I'll try it, but my time is consumed by Batman arkham city

I've heard generally good reports of it. Only 4.99 on Steam at the moment too. I'll probably pick it up next time it goes cheap on sale, too many games in my backlog before I pick up anymore.

Mornin. I picked it up for 10$ as part of the Amazon Desert to Sea bundle which included Bioshock 1 and 2. Sweet deal, it was!

But yet to play it. Lots of games on the backlog as Reikhardt said.

Gameplay is really boring, there's nothing worth mentioning. Which I could see and hear from other people. Almost as plain as a tps can get. Plenty of people told me the story is cool, so that's why I got it. It's poopy, too. Good thing is I got it as cheap as it gets(Bioshock 1/2+Spec ops for 5 bucks), but in my opinion it's not even worth playing.

Yahtzee also thinks Planescape: Torment wasn't a good game.

So be careful putting too much esteem into his opinions. He's a contrarian to a fault, and really more of an entertainer than a legitimate critic.

That's something I noticed over the years, so yeah, I am cautious :)

Wow, according to the current state of the voting poll, people really don't seem to enjoy adventure games any more. Weird, seeing as The Walking Dead was one of the most praised game in 2012 (apart from the FPS, Far Cry 3, ofc).

It's picking your favourite, not the genres you like...
Adventures will rarely be peoples top pick, but it doesn't mean they're disliked

I've bought it recently on Amazon for 2.5$, still have to even install it because I'm too busy with Alan Wake's American Nightmare.
Btw voted for adventures, those games are always #1 for me

I want to play it. I wanna know if I'll get that Dude-cockadooty-make-me-kinda-sick-now feeling some other players/reviewers got.

The game might have a good storytelling and and character development or whatever, but it's so fucking boring it's a no go. I couldn't force myself to play the second half. And it's still somewhere on my hard disk, probably.

It's similar to Apocalypse Now movie, in story lacks as good soundtrack as the move, though.
But, it has a few WTF moments.
Gameplay is as generic as TPS go.
