Yeah, about the Oscars. Congrats to Affleck, Argo is a really good movie. The biggest kudos to Christoph Waltz. He earned it. Oh sure, sure, we all detest Hollywood's pompous awards, on the other hand I'm happy that the movies awarded this year are actually worth watching. Well, except Life of Pi. Can't say much about that one, because I didn't see it.

Also, Django is a good movie, highly recommend that one.

Heard Django was a good date movie for some couples

didn't see a movie in a while...and the oscars is all about publicity anyhow

hello everyone

i haven't slept more than 3 straight hours for more than 6 months now
ICU: Shouldn't be too bad if you can still function normally
PigMaster: what the fuck do you mean shouldn't be too bad?

Don't think I've actually watched any of the winning films in this year's Oscars.
GrgoljBlaster Feb 26 2013, 06:07 am EST
Holy shit, haven't even heard about most of the winners D:
From the movies that won Oscars I've only seen Skyfall and planned to see Django but missed the screening. Life i Pi(e) doesn't seem very interesting, it's probably an "art" movie, a genre I can't stand (but on contrary love "art" games).

Argo? Argo is crap. Anti-Iran propaganda crap, with no respect for historical truth.
PainZero Feb 26 2013, 09:41 am EST
I think Django is the only one worth watching this year. I watched Argo as well but it's not very impressive and Ben Affleck has the same expression on his face from the beginning till the end of the movie.

You are such a fucking douchebag, nerf herder, Vader.

The first lady announcing the oscar winner (Argo) for best picture? Why do you think that is?

And Tarantino's movies have always been movies made for snobs and appreciated by snobs. Nothing else has to be said.
Breedy_Mcfluff: Nothing else should be said. From you, at least. […

Amour and Life of Pi are beautiful movies and so is Les Miserables.

Oscars are a bunch of crap. Certain actors will never win no matter what they do. Like most award shows I could hardly care anymore.
Reikhardt: Correct, Ron Jeremy will never get an Academy Award, …
LostPcGamer: Well he does get awards but not a Oscar. He gets a go…

^ Agreed LostPcGamer. The Oscars are very political, and many good actors get snubbed. Just like many good movies get snubbed for 'Best Picture'.

Anyway, I was happy to see Jennifer Lawrence win Best Actress. She is one of the few actresses that I really like. Now that she has won, I can go back to ignoring that show :)

Awards in general don't really mean shit. They're just ego-stroking mechanisms.

For circle-jerk's sake. Ultimate Oscar snub: 1998.

Having asshole ancestors that owned slaves and being one of the only white dudes in the theater, Django Unchained had it's very uncomfortable parts. Still a great movie. Just really awkward sometimes. Christopher Waltz is the shit.
