We continue in the spirit of yesterday's musical thread, although in a slightly different direction this time.
This time, I'd like you to name three movies. Remember, three of your favorite (or most memorable) movies.
If you wish, you can name a trilogy, but if you do so, that's it. You don't get to name three trilogies. So, it's either three separate movies or just one trilogy. Oh and you can't name all the Harry Potter movies either (that's just gay).
Anyway, here's my choice:
- Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope
- Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back
- Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi
I've thought long about this. There are so many movies, so many good ones. I enjoyed watching them over and over again, but out of all the movies I've ever seen in my entire life, these three I just know by heart. I know every sound, every scene and every character by heart. If you woke me up in the middle of the night, I could recite the entire dialogue from all three movies with my eyes closed. Love the music, love the acting, love the stories and the lore.
If I had to choose something other than these three movies, I guess I'd go for Love and Death, Hannah and Her Sisters and Kramer vs. Kramer.

Are you excited about Call of Duty: Ghosts?
| Nah. | 41.24% |
| Only if they bring something truly fresh to the series. | 34.81% |
| Hell, yes! Can't wait! | 23.95% |

Rocky
Return of the Jedi (For the reasons you mention)
Silent Running
Rounders
Bowling for Columbine
Dogma
I could name tens of dozens of other films but these are the first that came up to my mind :)
For me:
There Will Be Blood
Dogville
12 Angry Men
and
3 Iron
Sanjuro
The 7th Seal
But closest to my heart, remains the LOTR trilogy ...and we can easily include The Hobbit there.
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope
Star Wars: Episode V - Empire Strikes Back
The Usual Suspects
Citizen Kane (or any film noir from that time)
tomorrow I suggest top 3 worst... of something
how about 3 worst turds you ever took? and maybe with photos and videos attached?
Dark Knight
Revenge of the Sith
aaaaaaaand, not sure on the last one... let's say Return of the King, director's cut, of course.
Midnight Run
Blues Brothers
Predator
Return of the King
I find it hard to watch any lotr movie now. Watched them many times.
If animated movies are allowed I'd replace the last one with Ghost In The Shell.
Dark Crystal
For the third one, I can't choose between 'Dead Man' and 'The City of Lost Children (La Cité des Enfants Perdus)', so I won't.
Choosing a movie that's based on a book would make me feel dirty.
I will name the 3 movies that I watched the most, on and on, but by no means they are the best movies I've ever seen.
So, in order of appearace:
1. The Big Lebowski
2. American Psycho
3. A Scanner Darkly
But as a horror and intense drama fan. there are movies that were so overwhelming, that I watched only once, and a second time, long time after.
Oh, and I forgot... FUCK 3! 4 movies I'm always watching
4. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
As for the movies:
Spaceballs
Top Secret
Matrix
Call me shallow but what can I do, I love science fiction and comedies.
american beauty (sam mandes)
the good, the bad and the ugly, which i've seen well over 100 times
BIg Lebowski
Blade Runner
Raiders of the Lost Ark
For a Fistful of Dollars
Kung Fu Hustle
You're slipping.
The shining
Lord of the rings trilogy, I consider it one long movie.
