It would appear that they're making a movie based on the Sandman comics (from DC Comics) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is producing and he may also direct and star in it (heavy emphasis on 'may' there, because no actors or directors were confirmed yet). The flick supposedly follows the second series of the comics, which was written by Neil Gaiman. Never read those comics, so I'm afraid I can't give you any input on that. But I've read a few of Gaiman's books and he sure is good, so the comics are bound to be good. This, however, doesn't mean the movie will be good at all. In fact, it could be colossal crap, as much as it can be completely brilliant. So there, hope I've managed to clear the air there. Um, what else?
